Container Loading Optimization

How exporters reduce costs, avoid damage, and maximize container space

1. Maximise every cubic inch of your container

Most exporters unknowingly waste space because cartons don’t align cleanly with pallet dimensions.

Example:
A client shipping 440×440 cartons was loading 180 cartons per 40ft HC. After re-orientation and switching to the correct pallet, the yield increased to 216 cartons — same container, 20% more cargo.

You get a layout that fits your exact carton size, not a generic “try your best” approach.

2. Lower freight cost per kg without changing suppliers

Optimization directly reduces your cost per kg shipped — without touching material cost, labour cost, or supplier contracts.

Example:
If freight for a 40ft HC is ₹1.5 lakh, and you fit 10–15% more cartons, the per-kg cost drops instantly.

You’re basically making every shipment cheaper using geometry instead of negotiation.

3. Stop losses caused by crushing, over-height, and unstable pallets

Stack one layer too high, and cartons will collapse before the container even reaches Nhava Sheva.

Example:
A pallet stacked at 1.78 m fits comfortably, but a stack of 1.85 m hits the container roof and compresses the top cartons.

We determine exact safe pallet heights and stacking patterns so your cargo arrives intact.

4. Eliminate stuffing delays and CFS-side inefficiencies

When the warehouse tries different combinations on the spot, you lose time, pay overtime, and invite errors.

Example:
Without a plan: workers test 3–4 pallet arrangements, wasting 45 minutes.
With a plan: they execute a precise pattern in 10–15 minutes.

You get smoother CFS movement with lesser risk of demurrage or detention.

5. Get carton and pallet recommendations tailored to your product

Sometimes the carton size is the real bottleneck — even a small change can dramatically improve container yield.

Example:
Changing one dimension by 10–15 mm allowed a client to fit an extra 60 cartons per shipment.

We show you the best carton–pallet combination for your product geometry.

6. Visual clarity for your warehouse team

A warehouse team doesn’t want long explanations — they want to see exactly how to stack and place pallets.

We provide clear layouts showing:

cartons per layer

number of layers

pallet orientation

double-stack feasibility

This removes guesswork and ensures consistency.

7. Identify hidden inefficiencies that drain money each shipment

Most exporters don’t realize where they lose money — small gaps add up to big losses.

Example:

Wrong pallet orientation wastes 80–120 mm

Gaps of 40–60 mm reduce usable space

Incorrect carton orientation increases compression risk
